    when its ill-fated fifth and final journey ended at the hands of a renegade storm which tore her from her moorings, casting the ship onto the Goodwin Sands. The ship's cargo was lost as were the lives of a handful of her crew.
    The Popular Ship had already previously survived battle with a French Privateer Ship that attacked with 32 Cannons on her fourth Voyage.
